Cool T-shirts and Christmas Scenes..

I feel like my throat is slowly feeling better, so am happy. I could sleep for days, but the cough is still there. So, during Christmas I was told about two different t-shirt companies, Qwertee and TeeBusters which are great websites for selling one-off t-shirt designs for up to 24 hours. They cover various tv shows and movies: Doctor Who, The IT Crowd, Father Ted, Iron Man, Sherlock, Mario Brothers, etc. And at around €10, more or less, they are worth it!

On Christmas Day, I got some nice little gifts from my parents and sister. There was plenty of food. and it was a nice relaxing time with the family. Everyone gathered together for one day, it was great to chill out with all my brothers and sister.

Am thankful for my good friends, and I love this photo of me and my bestie out on St. Stephen's Night, the craziest night out of the Irish calendar (besides St. Patrick's Day).

Illness Ahoy!

So, I went ahead and booked an appointment with the doctor for today. I had hoped to not visit the doctor, as I believed I could look after myself, but my throat got very sore in the last day. :'(

At the doctor's clinic, I had found out from an earlier blood sample in September (the last time I visited) that I had an iron deficiency. Well done M, you know how to look after yourself properly... :P
Anywho, I also have a severe chest infection and shortness of breath, so prescriptions for antibiotics, two different inhalers, steroids, and iron tablets. Woo hoo! Go health 2013!

Another major step was taken on the 30th December, when I stopped eating wheat, eggs, and dairy products. A few years ago, I found out that I had an intolerance to a lot of things, mainly these three items. But, I continued to eat them, which had left me with a bloated stomach, and spots on my hands. I would take anti-hestimines when I needed them, but this is the time now to stop eating the poison that's bad for me. I have to take charge.

Here's some motivation for my sexy self right here:

*** Athbhliain faoi mhaise a chairde! ***

A very Happy New Year and a belated Merry Christmas to all my blogger friends. I hope you are having a lovely time with your family and friends at this wonderful time.

"Go mbeirimid beo ar an am seo arís" meaning that we will be alive at this time again, a saying most said before having a special dinner, i.e. Christmas, New Years, birthdays.

I took this photo on the way home to Connemara on the 22nd Dec '12... The seas were choppy, the skies so blue, it was just lovely.

"Spend life with who makes you happy, not who you have to impress."
I would also like to take this opportunity to say Congratulation and Well Wishes to Mr and Mrs Digitaldarragh, who were married on New Years Eve. They are currently on their way to their honeymoon destination, so I do hope the rest of their lives are as amazing as always.

Hugs, M xx

This house is too cold...

Am not going to survive the next few weeks without some sort of heat. No-one seems to want to purchase oil, and all the jumpers, hoodies and woolly knee-high socks I have thrown on have not warmed me up one iota. Brrrrrr.

5 essays and 2 exams. I don't seem to be making much progress on the essays, as usual, and 4 of them are due this Friday. No way am I going to have 4 essays finished in 3 days. Not a hope! The exams are good though, on the 11th and 14th of December, so plenty of time to look over notes. Yayyy!

So many Christmas parties this semester, so little time! The amount of Society Christmas get togethers at college have been crazy. Sadly, I haven't been able to go to half of them, but I have apologised and sure I will see them all again soon enough. There are some really lovely societies in NUI Galway though! :)

The Galway Christmas Market is finally here! I absolutely love this market, just wandering around and looking at the pretty ornaments, woolly hats and gloves, and various other things on sale.

Once these exams and essays are over, Órfhlaith (my housemate) and I are looking forward to a festive party at our place. I really should be practicing my party piece, but just haven't gotten around to it yet :)
It'll be grand! :P
